PPT2002: Cannot Select Items on an Inserted Calendar
This article was previously published under Q285476
SYMPTOMS
After you insert a Calendar object into a slide, you cannot select or change any of the Calendar items.
When you attempt to select a day or a month on the Calendar, nothing happens.
CAUSE
The inserted Calendar object is a Microsoft ActiveX Control. The values of an inserted ActiveX Control can only be changed from within the
Properties dialog box of that ActiveX Control.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior and change the properties of the Calendar ActiveX control, follow these steps:
- Right-click the inserted Calendar object.
- On the shortcut menu that appears, point to Calendar Object, and then click Properties.
- In the Calendar Properties dialog box, on the General tab, change the values that you want, and then click OK.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
