PRJ: Gantt Bars Displayed Incorrectly in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) File
This article was previously published under Q275549
SYMPTOMS
When you view a project in an Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) file that Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Distiller created, bars on the Gantt Chart may appear fully or partially blanked out if text is displayed next to the bars.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur when both of the following conditions are true:
- Your computer's operating system is Microsoft Windows 95.
- You are using Adobe Acrobat version 4.05, 4.05a, or 4.06.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, uninstall your current version of Adobe Acrobat, and then reinstall Adobe Acrobat version 4.0.
NOTE: In most cases, Adobe Acrobat version 4.05, 4.05a, or 4.06 is installed after you install Adobe Acrobat version 4.0 first, and then you download and install an update from the Adobe Web site. If you have installed the update, you cannot uninstall it unless you completely remove and reinstall Adobe Acrobat.
If you installed Adobe Acrobat version 4.05 or later directly from installation media that you purchased, rather than by installing the update, you cannot work around the behavior by uninstalling and reinstalling the program from the same installation media.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
