You receive a “Choose a different CTRL + key combination†error message when you use a reserved key as a macro shortcut key in Microsoft Project

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project, when you try to set a shortcut key
for a macro, you may receive the following error message
CTRL + key is reserved for use by Microsoft
Project.
Choose a different CTRL + key combination.
where
key is the alphabetical character that you typed for
your shortcut macro.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if you try to use a character that
Microsoft Project has reserved to perform another function when you press the
character in combination with the CTRL key. Reserved letters include B, C, D,
F, G, H, I, K, N, O, P, R, U, V, W, X, and Z.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use non-reserved letters for
your shortcut keys.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
