FrontPage Server Extensions are not upgraded during FrontPage 2002 Setup or during Office XP Professional with FrontPage Setup

This article was previously published under Q269647

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft FrontPage 2002 or Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage on a FrontPage 2000 extended server, Setup does not upgrade the FrontPage Server Extensions.

CAUSE

SharePoint Team Services, which includes the FrontPage Server Extensions, has its own Setup program on the FrontPage 2002 CD.

RESOLUTION

From the root directory of the FrontPage 2002 CD, open the SHAREPT folder, and then double-click Setupse.exe to run Setup.

If you want to install the FrontPage Server Extensions without SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft and the collaboration feature, see the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage (http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage)

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft FrontPage 2002 Standard Edition
