SYMPTOMS

When printing to a Gateway Services NetWare (GSNW) print server through an NDS connection with the option to print a banner page selected, the printed banner page is missing the username of the user that submitted the job.

This behavior is seen on Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0 and Terminal Server Edition when print jobs are submitted through a Terminal Server session.

This behavior is seen on Windows 2000 for any print job.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
