The Support Diagnostics Platform (SDP) manifest file is designed to collect relevant registry data, configuration files, and application event log information to help troubleshoot common Excel support issues. This article provides details on the data collected by the Excel manifest file.
NOTE: The manifest file described in this article can be used on the following versions of Microsoft Windows.

Windows Vista
Information Collected
The following data may be collected by the Excel manifest run by the Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool. Whether or not an output file is generated depends on the client configuration. For example, if the \Office key does not exist in the Windows registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Microsoft, then the {Computername}_reg_Excel_HKLM_Policies.txt is not generated by the manifest.
NOTE: All file names in the data collection are prefaced with the {Computername} on which the Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool is run.
