Games: Cannot Play Game if Computer Is Configured to Use Multiple Monitors

This article was previously published under Q240981

SYMPTOMS

When you play one of the games listed in the "Applies to" section of this article and you try to drag the game screen to another monitor, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
  • The second monitor is blank or black.
  • The game did not appear on the second monitor.
  • The game window from monitor 1 dragged into monitor 2 but the game does not appear in monitor 1.
  • The game will minimize down the Microsoft Windows taskbar but you can hear game sounds.

RESOLUTION

These games do not have separate windows that you can drag into another monitor. The windows that you open in the game are part of the program. The games listed in this article were not designed with windows that are not dockable.
