SUMMARY
This article discusses how to download and install an
update for the Microsoft Project Converter, which converts files in the ABT
Project Workbench 4.x for Windows format to the Microsoft Project MPX file
format.
This update includes a new version of the file Pwwin.exe,
which replaces the original version of Pwwin.exe that is included with the
original Microsoft Project Converter.

How to Obtain Microsoft Support Files from Online Services
Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most
current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file
was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to
prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.
Installing the Update
To install the Microsoft Project Converter Update, follow these
steps:
- Install the Microsoft Project Converter as described in the
following Knowledge Base article:

PRJ: The Microsoft Project Converter for Project 4.0 and 4.1
- Download the PWBConv.exe file described earlier in this
article.
- Double-click the PWBConv.exe file to extract the Pwwin.exe
file.
- Replace the Pwwin.exe file installed with the Microsoft
Project Converter with the new version you extracted in the previous
step.
When you run the converter and it prompts you to select the
type of file to convert, select ABT Project Workbench version 1.x for Windows.
This converts files in the ABT Project Workbench version 1.x, 3.x and 4.x for
Windows formats to the Microsoft Project MPX format.

read the Readme.wri file that is installed in the same directory as the
Converter program when you run Setup. Readme.wri contains general instructions
on converting files to Microsoft Project files and detailed information about
how the project data is translated.
