FIX: Progress Indicators Not Shown When Transferring Data Using DTS

SYMPTOMS

Progress indicators are not shown when transferring data using the Data Transformation Services (DTS) designer or wizards. The physical transfer of data and objects will complete successfully, but the display is not updated during the transfer.

CAUSE

The progress display interface does not properly accept transfer notifications.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 1 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
