ACC2000: Can't Create ADP or Page Using Windows Shortcut Menu
This article was previously published under Q198985
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and to a Microsoft Access project (.adp).
On the Microsoft Windows Desktop, if you use the shortcut menu to create a new Microsoft Access application, Microsoft Access is started, but you can only choose MDB in the
Files of Type box. You can not use this method to create new data access pages or Microsoft Access projects.
You must start Microsoft Access, and then create a new data access page or Access project from the
New command.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- Right-click the Microsoft Windows Desktop, click New, and then click Microsoft Access Application.
- When Microsoft Access starts, click the arrow in the Files of Type box.
Note that you see only Microsoft Access databases or Microsoft Access workgroup files as choices.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Access 2000 Standard Edition
Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
