MORE INFORMATION

FdBkmrk.exe contains three separate Add-ins, one each for Microsoft Access 2.0, 7.0, and 97. You only need to use the add-in that is specific to the versions of Access that you have installed on your computer.

Steps to Install the Find Bookmark Wizard

  1. Double-click the FdBkmrk.exe file to expand the files.
  2. Open one of your databases in Microsoft Access.

NOTE: Do not open the add-in files themselves.
  3. Open the Add-in Manager.

In Access 2.0: On the File menu, point to Add-ins, and then click Add-in Manager.

In Access 7.0/97: On the Tools menu, point at Add-ins, and then click Add-in Manager.
  4. Install the appropriate version of the Find Bookmark Wizard Add-in.

NOTE: For more information about installing add-ins, search the Microsoft Access Help Index for "Add-in Manager."

Using the Find Bookmark Wizard

  1. Open the Access database that you want to scan for suspect code.
  2. If you haven't already installed the Find Bookmark Wizard, follow the steps listed in the "Steps to Install the Find Bookmark Wizard" section.
  3. Run the Find Bookmark Wizard.

In Access 2.0: On the File menu, point at Add-ins, and then click the wizard in the list of add-ins.

In Access 7.0/97: On the Tools menu, point at Add-ins, and then click the wizard in the list of add-ins.
  4. Read the information on the first page of the Find Bookmark Wizard, and then click Scan.
The wizard will scan the forms, reports, and modules for suspect text. When it finishes, it will display a message box indicating whether or not suspect text was found. When you click OK, you will see a summary of the wizards results. If suspect text is found, click the Print Log button to see a full report of the results, including database name, module name, procedure name, and the line number within the procedure where the suspect text was found. The wizard must be run from within any database that you want to scan.

Community Feedback System

Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back. Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what didn't.

Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry edits), please consult a professional.
