Tag Tool: Sort Order Incorrect in Attribute Name Column
This article was previously published under Q188249
When you enter ASCII extended characters as tags with the Tag
tool, the extended characters are sorted incorrectly. All extended
characters appear after the standard English alphabet.
This is a common problem when you tag documents in languages that
use the extended character set.
This behavior only occurs in the U.S. English version of Site
Server Search. The localized versions do not have this behavior.
The extended characters are being compared and sorted incorrectly.
To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0.
This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for
Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. For information on obtaining the service
pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without
the spaces):

APPLIES TO
- MSN Search, when used with:
- Microsoft Site Server 3.0 Standard Edition

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
