Plus! 98: Wallpaper Not Drawn When Using PhotoDisc Desktop Theme

SYMPTOMS

When you use the PhotoDisc Desktop Theme included in Plus! 98, the desktop wallpaper may not be drawn or the computer may run slowly.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if a Creative Labs Graphics Blaster 2D/3D display adapter with a Cirrus Logic Laguna 5464 chipset is installed in the computer. Plus! 98 does not support the Laguna 5464 chipset.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Plus! 98, version 1.0.
