WD97: GoTo Previous Comment Does Not Go To Correct Comment
This article was previously published under Q179344
In Word 97, if you add a comment to a Word version 6.0 or 7.0 document and
that document already contains comments (annotations) that were inserted by
another reviewer and you browse through the comments using the Next or Previous Comment buttons, Word does not browse through the document properly.
NOTE: The Next and Previous Comment buttons are located on either the
Reviewing toolbar or in the Edit Go To dialog box.
This problem does not occur in documents created in Word 97. To work around
this problem, recreate the Word version 6.0 or 7.0 document in Word 97.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
To Go To a comment:
- On the Edit menu click Go To.
- In the Go To What list click Comment.
- In the Enter reviewer's name box select a reviewer.
- Click Next until you find the comment you want.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Word 97 Standard Edition

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
